Demi Lovato tied the knot with her fiancé Jordan “Jutes” Lutes in California on Sunday.
For her walk down the aisle, the bride donned a breathtaking off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood. The dress was a reimagined version of one of the iconic late British designer’s classic pieces, customized slightly for Lovato’s special day.
In collaboration with her stylist Jill Jacobs, the design house made subtle changes to the draping at the bust and waist. These adjustments were inspired by both ancient Greek sculptures and 18th-century women.
“When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs — specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets,” Lovato shared with Vogue.
She completed her bridal look with a tulle cathedral-length veil, soft Old Hollywood-style waves, and a fresh, natural makeup look.
Later at the reception, Lovato changed into a “one-of-a-kind” strapless column gown, also by Westwood. This second look featured broken pearls spilling down from the neckline, drawing inspiration from the “golden age of cinema.”
The “Skyscraper” singer, 32, isn’t the only Disney alum to favor this style — Miley Cyrus also wore the same gown during her surprise wedding to Liam Hemsworth in 2018.
However, Lovato chose a richer silk satin fabric for her gown, while Cyrus opted for a more relaxed silk crepe version for her intimate at-home ceremony.
