The relationship between Victoria and David Beckham and their son Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, is becoming increasingly strained.
The controversy was reignited after the couple traveled to London but didn’t contact Brooklyn’s parents.
“Things were tense, and he didn’t think it would be a productive conversation,” a source told US Weekly.
Now, a new chapter in this ongoing saga has unfolded. According to a source who spoke to People, Victoria couldn’t help but be the center of attention at Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding and stole the spotlight during one of the most significant moments: the couple’s first dance.
According to the source, during Marc Anthony’s performance, “the singer asked Brooklyn to come on stage and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come up here… Victoria Beckham.’”
A second source who witnessed the moment also said that everyone saw the bride burst into tears when she realized one of her dream moments had been ruined: “Nicola ran out of the room crying.
She felt like Victoria did it on purpose, knowing it was supposed to be a romantic, pre-arranged dance for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why.”
The relationship between Brooklyn and his family has reportedly grown more tense since 2022, when tensions also arose during the wedding preparations between the designer and her future daughter-in-law.
Even though they tried to silence the rumors by showing affection on social media, the drama reignited during David’s 50th birthday celebration. Neither Brooklyn nor his wife “made any effort” to attend, according to a source who spoke to Page Six.
