Justin Bieber could potentially claim part of Hailey Bieber’s billion-dollar beauty brand earnings if the couple divorces — since they reportedly never signed a prenup.
The couple, who married in 2018, has faced ongoing rumors of relationship troubles, though Hailey recently clapped back at speculation, calling out “jealous ‘bitches.’”
Hailey launched Rhode in 2022 and just sold it to e.l.f. Beauty in a deal worth up to $1 billion — $800 million in cash and stock now, with $200 million dependent on future performance. While Hailey will remain involved as chief creative officer and head of innovation, she won’t personally pocket the full billion due to investor preferences.
A top Hollywood divorce lawyer noted it’s rare for high-profile couples not to have a financial agreement: “Because they live in California… anything created during marriage is community property. If there is no prenup [or] postnuptial … agreement, this sounds like community property to me.”
Despite Hailey’s success, Justin’s earlier earnings from music — including hits like “Baby” and “Sorry” — would likely remain his own, since his catalog predates the marriage. He sold it in 2023 to Hipgnosis Songs Capital, and as the lawyer explained, “Regardless of when you sell the catalog, it’s still separate.”
Justin hasn’t released new music since 2021’s Justice, and after canceling his tour in 2022 due to Ramsay Hunt syndrome, he’s missed out on major touring income.
The couple, who share a son named Jack Blues, live lavishly, owning multiple luxury homes and frequently vacationing. A source commented, “There’s no money coming in for a long time,” despite their high-end lifestyle.
