Justin Bieber Showing ‘Red Flags’ of Substance Abuse, According to Specialist

Concerns surrounding Justin Bieber’s physical and mental health continue to grow.

A medical expert has observed that the 31-year-old pop singer may be displaying several “red flags” that potentially indicate serious drug use.

Dr. Rolando Larice, MD, Medical Director at Sana Lake Recovery, stated: “Emotional posts on social media, visibly erratic public appearances, and even moments of withdrawal or detachment from his career and relationships may be subtle red flags of a deeper internal struggle.”

Although Dr. Larice has not personally treated Bieber, he emphasized that these behaviors are not “definitive proof” of substance abuse but still shouldn’t be ignored.

“[Justin’s behavior is] consistent with the complex emotional cycles many people in relapse or recovery experience, and it’s important to approach situations like these with empathy and understanding rather than judgment,” he explained.

Concerns heightened on Thursday, May 29, after Bieber posted a series of photos on Instagram. In one image, he appeared to be smoking marijuana while spending time in the same area as his 9-month-old son, Jack.

One photo captured him lifting the child onto his shoulders while dressed in a black sweatshirt and sweatpants.

Another showed him by an outdoor bar, seemingly smoking a joint while enjoying a sunny day with friends.

The post sparked backlash from fans. “I hope that baby wasn’t exposed to marijuana smoke,” one follower wrote. Another pleaded with him to “leave the vices.”

Long time fan but this is just becoming a disaster,” a third person commented.

This incident follows a similar controversy in April at Coachella, where Bieber was reportedly seen smoking in the presence of his 15-year-old brother, Jaxon.

A viral video allegedly shows the pop star puffing on a joint while dancing with friends. His wife, Hailey Bieber, is seen placing his hands on the teen’s back and guiding him away from what appeared to be an intoxicated Justin.
