On New Year’s Eve 2024, while five months pregnant, the chef was allegedly forced to “lift and transport heavy food items” completely unassisted.
The physical strain caused her to become dizzy and begin choking, requiring security personnel on the scene to step in and intervene.
Just days later, she was assigned to work another high-stress birthday event in Palm Springs without “adequate support” despite the obvious physical tolls on her body.
The situation took a tragic turn the following morning when the chef experienced severe hemorrhaging and had to drive herself to the emergency room.
Hospital staff confirmed there was no fetal heartbeat, marking the loss of her unborn child. Following the devastating loss, the employer’s immediate reaction allegedly compounded the trauma.
A supervisor allegedly told the grieving employee, “Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed.”. The lawsuit, originally reported by TMZ and noted as pending court review, seeks damages for the severe depression and emotional distress tied directly to the grueling working conditions and the management’s cold response.
